Ms. Ann

I fired this load on February 6th, 2011.  I started glazing the pots at about 9am and finished loading the kil' about 10:45.  My oldest daughter, Lily, assited me with the loading and I started the fire and bricked up the door at 11am.  Starting with oak, then switching to pine, I stoked the fire for about 7.5 hrs which got the temperature inside the kil' to about 2455 degrees F, the temperature required to melt the ash and lime glazes.  I was worried about the humidity level since it had rained the past few days. As you can tell from the pictures, it all worked out fine.
